Originally from here in NJ, Harold has a love of working with horses and other animals. He and Debbie met and married and together they became experienced with many breeds of animals. Harold's expertise with animal events includes the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC and TV appearances. He has worked closely with Jack Hannah and Jim Fowler, handling many different species of animals. Harold is an excellent handler and enjoys bringing Kafka Farms' eclectic array of animals to events such as Living Nativity during the holidays, petting zoos, birthday parties and events, horse and carriage rides for special events and more. His team pulling a Cinderella Carriage at Weddings is a sight to see!
A lifelong horse enthusiast and lover of all animals, Debbie grew up in Hillsborough, NJ and was riding and showing at a very young age. Debbie is the lead English riding trainer here at the farm, using patience, kindness, and understanding with both the young rider, as well as young horses. She is trained in Hunter and Natural Horsemanship, methods she uses with all of her animals. Debbie's prized animals are her stunning Friesian horses (too many to count at this point). Her Friesian foals were recently all rated Premium! She is a member of Friesian Horse Association of North America (FHANA) and is a breeder of the stunningly beautiful Arabo-Friesians. You can still find her in the barn teaching horseback riding or handling her Friesians.
Rachel is the daughter of Debbie and Harold and plays a big role in training and in the success of Kafka Farms, training Hunters & Jumpers. Riding since the age of three, Rachel has been competing for most of those years and has a background in dressage. She is currently continuing her training in dressage and working with the Friesians on their dressage training. Recently Rachel worked as a private driver on Mackinac Island for two summers driving their Friesian pairs. Rachel teaches lessons in driving as well! You can always find her at the farm either training the Friesians or working on her next dressage test with her World Champion Dark Tinne Victory or one of her other incredible mares.
As a student at Seton Hall University Robbie is currently studying Law. When not at school, Robbie can be found working hard and riding at the farm on weekends, and assisting Harold at special events. Robbie rides and has successfully shown in Western competition.
